COURSE DESCRIPTION

A radio program production course involving the conceptualization, scripting and production of various radio program formats.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

be familiar with the various radio program production techniques.

Affective

realize the value of discipline and teamwork.

 Psychomotor

apply the technical knowledge gained from the course in the production of  basic radio program types.

RADIO PRODUCTION HARDWARE AND AUDIO RECORDING TECHNIQUES	1 week
CONCEPTUALIZATION, SCRIPTING AND PRODUCTION
Straight ad lib: Public service plug	1 week
Time-delimited script: Radio advertisement	1 week
Use of music: Disc jockey program	1 week
Newsgathering techniques and newscasting	2 weeks
Radio Interview	2 weeks
Full production using music, sound effects and dialogue:  Radio drama	2 weeks
Final individual project: Radio documentary	2 weeks
